Chicago - August 21-23

We had a really great trip to Chicago. We took Grandma & Grandpa Riggle with us to see Jayce's first Cubs game at Wrigley. We stayed in a great hotel downtown and spent Friday at Navy Pier. We rode the big Ferris Wheel. We went to Build-A-Bear Workshop and made Jayce a bear that we dressed in a Bears uniform and named him Lovie. Then, we took a cruise on a 4 mast sail boat on the lake. We were all tired from walking, but we had a great time! Can't wait to post pictures of this weekend's big adventure. We are meeting up with Camden & Carsen to go to the zoo!

Fun Stuff

PopPop and the boys at the Reds Game in May.

This is Jayce's wagon from Aunt Jenny and Uncle Dave. He had a lot of fun playing with it in Grandma & Grandpa's yard (July).

A couple of weeks ago we went with Grandma and Grandpa Riggle to the State Fair. Jayce really liked to look at the horses.

Camden and Carsen came to visit and the boys had fun playing together!

We're finally here

Well we have entered the blogging world and I hope that I can keep up with this as much as I would like. I have been visiting my cousins' blog spots for about a year now and decided that I would finally take the plunge myself after reading a book that made me realize that this may be the way God has chosen for me to document the life of my family. I have always been envious of those "overachievers" who create beautiful scrapbooks of the lives of their children and still have time to parent. While I will probably still attempt to put together a book of my 16 month-old's first year, I think it will be much easier and perhaps much more therapeutic for me to simply blog a story every so often. Thanks for visiting our site and feel free to comment any time. We love to hear from people and definitely want to offer any encouragement we possibly can to people experiencing life with or around us.
